Review

AusLogics Disk Defrag 1.5 is a file and disk management utility that improves your system.
This system utility can defragment hard disk drives, removable disk, folders or files to improve the performance of your system and avoid your PC slows down, crash it or freeze it up.
This program allows selecting the item to defragment and with just one click will start to defragment it indicating the process, status and the file that is currently performing defragmentation on it. Moreover it will show graphically the defragmentation map and its process indicating the sections of map being processed, fragmented, defragmented, and allocated and free space. At the end of the defragmentation process it will show a summary report indicating the total files, directories, fragmented and defragmented files, skipped files, and the rate of Speed increased on your system. Also it provides a detailed report to be open in a web browser by clicking its Display Report button.

Some of this version’s improvements were its task scheduler, its support to Windows 7 and 2008 Server platforms, and now it allows defragmentation over folders and files, as well as some other improvements with some minor bugs fixed.

Its GUI is user friendly and as I already mentioned with a single click the program will start to defragment your hard disk drives. Its installation process is very easy to perform and no additional libraries or programs are needed. There is no documentation. AusLogics Disk Defrag works in Windows 7/Vista/2008/XP/2000/2003, 32-bit and 64-bit platforms.
Advantages
  • AusLogics Disk Defrag is excellent to defragment your files and disks in your system. It’s simple and easy to use.
Disadvantages
  • I haven’t found any until now.

For a while, I had both auslogics and IoBit defrag programs on my system. I had used Auslogics for quite some time (like years - not days). It was efficient and fast but did not have the optimize and "shut down" the computer when done options. So IoBit was on my system for those features. So I would run auslogics for the most part and would run smart defrag occasionally to take advantage of the optimize feature. The new Auslogics has included an optimize and a "shutdown" after running (for the cleanup and clearout crowd). Ergo, I removed IoBit smart defrag and still remain faithful to auslogics defrag. Try it - you might like it.
